Capital Area Audubon Society is an independent organization with 501(c)(3) status and is affiliated with Michigan Audubon as one of its 41 statewide chapters.
Members of CAAS enjoy 10 monthly programs per year on a variety of natural history topics, guided field trips, a monthly newsletter, and the satisfaction of supporting initiatives to interest young people in birds and nature.

Dr. McCullough, a professor of forest entomology, will be speaking about what the future holds for ash trees in the aftermath of the emerald ash borer destruction and also about the threats posed to beech trees by beech bark disease.
